Once again durring Holy Week the congregants and students of St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church gathered on Good Friday to package 10,000 nutritious meals for hungry and food insecure children and families.
From the very young to very old, the members of St. Andrews Greek Orthodox Church came together to lend a hand to pack these nutritious, flavorful meals of pasta and cheese - fortified with vitamins, nutrients, and protein - specifically designed to nurture bodies and lift spirits. These meals were donated to the Northern Illinois Food Bank which distributed them to local food pantries and soup kitchens.
