You are invited to join with family, friends, and neighbors in creating 50,000 nutritious
meals of hope for hungry children and their families in our communities.
Partners in Hope
Romeoville Toyota, the Village of Romeoville, and the Romeoville Area Chamber of Commerce are partnering with Feed6, a Chicago-based nutrition-focused movement - and its national umbrella, Outreach, an international 501(C)(3) non-profit - to produce 50,000 nutritional meals for neighbors in need. During the last seven years Feed6 has joined with dozens of organizations and thousands of volunteers to package and distribute 4.3 meals to food-insecure neighbors in the Chicago region; while its international parent Outreach, accredited by Charity Navigator and honored by two US Presidents at the White House, has been responsible for the global distribution of over 354 million meals since its inception in 2004.
Through its innovative mobile food packaging program, Feed6-Outreach brings together hundreds, sometimes thousands, of volunteers - in church halls, school gyms, hotel ballrooms, conference centers and now an auto showroom - to join hearts and hands in packaging nutritious meals for food-insecure neighbors. These are extraordinary spirit-enriching, celebratory events of giving and caring in which any one of any age or background can participate and extend love to those in need.
Volunteers are organized into small group assembly lines, preparing delicious, nutritious meals of pasta and cheese - all fortified with soy protein, nutrients, and vitamins - and bagged, labeled, weighed, and boxed employing safety and hygienic precautions.
