Feed Our Community Day

The Riverside/North Riverside Covenant of Churches held this years annual "Feed Our Community Day" on October 15, 2016. The event attracted over 300 volunteers that came out that packed 58,700 meals that were distributed to local food pantries and a additional 2,700 pounds of pasta was donated to Jesse Brown Veterans Hospital for their food pantry. This years recipients including:
Catholic Charities, A Safe Haven, St. Xavier, St. Barbs, Forest Park Food Pantry, First Presbyterian Church, Ebenezer Christian Church, Christian Life Center.
This year generous sponsors included: Riverside Junior Woman's Club, Riverside Lions Club, Village of North Riverside, Tony's Finer Foods, Flur Bakery, Riverside Presbyterian Church Christ Presbyterian Church, St. Mary Church,
Saints Peter and Paul Lutheran Church, Ascension Lutheran Church, Chik-Fil-A.
The Village of North Riverside graciously donated the space allowing the event to be held at the North Riverside Commons
