Western Springs Baptist Church came together in an extraordinary show of service, compassion, and community impact, packing 50,553 meals for families facing food insecurity throughout the Chicagoland area.
More than 125 volunteers gathered at the church to pack these meals, working side by side with energy, purpose, and a shared commitment to helping neighbors in need.
At the conclusion of the event, the packed meals were picked up by the Greater Chicago Food Depository, which will distribute them to communities and families across the region who need support the most.
“This event was an incredible success because of the heart, generosity, and dedication of everyone at Western Springs Baptist Church,” said Bill Kanatas, Co-Founder of Feed6. “From the volunteers who packed meals to the church leadership and staff who helped make the day possible, this was a powerful example of what can happen when a community comes together to serve others.”
