Our Pasta with Tomato Basil Sauce provides a nutritious, satisfying meal option, particularly valuable for individuals and families facing food insecurity. Each serving contains 9 grams of protein, providing 18% of the Daily Value, with soy-based vegetable protein helping make the meal more filling and nutritionally substantial. It is very low in fat, with just 1 gram per serving, contains no saturated fat or cholesterol, and provides 200 calories per serving.

The meal is also fortified with an impressive range of essential vitamins and minerals, including iron, folate, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B12, vitamin E, magnesium and zinc. Notably, one serving provides 20% of the Daily Value for iron, 45% for folate and 40% for thiamin.

While the sodium level of 440 mg per serving, or 19% of the Daily Value, would not technically be considered “low sodium,” it is moderate for a prepared meal. Overall, the combination of protein, carbohydrates and extensive vitamin and mineral fortification makes this a practical, nutrient-rich meal designed to provide meaningful nourishment to people who may have limited access to nutritious food.
