Fifth Third Bank’s
“Fifth Third Day”
Packs a Punch Against Hunger!
May 2, 2025
Every year around May 3rd, Fifth Third Bank celebrates its namesake day with purpose—mobilizing employees, customers, and communities to take a stand against food insecurity. It’s a day of action, compassion, and impact.
This year, in an electrifying partnership with Feed6, the Fifth Third team came together at the iconic Fifth Third Arena, home to the Chicago Blackhawks Training Facility, to pack a whopping 50,000 meals of Pasta with Tomato Basil Sauce for neighbors in need.
With more than 100 enthusiastic volunteers rolling up their sleeves, the space was buzzing with energy. As meal packs flew down the lines, the sound of sticks hitting pucks echoed in the background—yes, dozens of hockey players were taking their shot on goal, adding a uniquely Chicago flair to the event.
In just over two hours, the mission was accomplished. All 50,000 meals were packed and immediately picked up by the Greater Chicago Food Depository to be distributed to local families facing hunger.
A heartfelt thank you to the entire team at Fifth Third Bank for inviting us to be part of such a meaningful day—and a huge shout-out to the Chicago Blackhawks staff for their hospitality and seamless coordination in making the Fifth Third Arena feel like home.
Together, we proved what teamwork, heart, and hustle can do in just a few short hours
