BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois Hosts Fourth Feed6 Meal Packaging Event
On August 26, 2026, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) once again joined forces with Feed6 for another impactful meal-packaging event at its corporate headquarters in Chicago.
During the event, nearly 200 BCBSIL employees came together to package 50,000 nutritious meals for individuals and families facing food insecurity throughout the Chicagoland area.
The meals, made with specially fortified ingredients essential to a balanced diet, will be distributed through local hunger-relief organizations to help provide nutritious food to neighbors in need.
With today's 50,000-meal event, the longstanding partnership between Feed6 and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois has now produced more than 200,000 meals collectively for communities in need.
Feed6 is incredibly grateful for the continued commitment of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois and its employees. Year after year, their volunteers bring tremendous energy and generosity to these events, demonstrating what can happen when businesses and their employees come together to address hunger in their communities.
Meals were picked up the same day by Chicago Food Depository to deliver to Chicagoland Food Pantries to serve those in need.
