Holy Week this year was extra special as congregants and students of St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church gathered on Good Friday and packaged Ten Thousands nutritious meals for local hungry and food insecure children and families.
From the very young to very old, regardless of size, infirmity, or condition, gathered to lend a hand to pack these nutritious, flavorful meals of pasta and cheese - fortified with vitamins, nutrients, and protein - specifically designed to nurture bodies and lift spirits.
The packaged meals were donated to God's House Holiness Church of Chicago. Pastor Vivian Clark came to the event with members of the congregation and loaded the meals which will be distributed to food insecure families in their neighborhood.
